FENDER GUITARS

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation of Scottsdale, Arizona is a manufacturer of stringed instruments, such as solid-body electric guitars, including the Stratocaster and Telecaster. The company, previously named the Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, was founded in Fullerton, California, by Clarence Leonidas Fender ("Leo" Fender) in 1946. "Leo" Fender also designed one of the first,[citation needed] and most commercially successful solid-body electric bass,[citation needed] the Precision Bass, which has become known in rock, jazz, country, funk and other types of music.
Fender offered the first mass-produced solid-body Spanish-style electric guitar, the Telecaster , the first mass-produced electric bass, the Precision Bass (P-Bass); and popular Stratocaster (Strat) guitar.
While Fender was not the first to manufacture electric guitars, as other companies and luthiers had produced electric guitars since the late 1920s, none was as commercially successful as Fender's. Furthermore, while nearly all other electric guitars then were either hollow-body guitars or more specialized instruments such as Rickenbacker's solid-body Hawaiian guitars, Fender had created versatile solid-body electric guitars. These guitars were and still are popular for musicians in a variety of genres.
The company makes acoustic guitars, electric basses, mandolins, banjos, and violins, as well as guitar amplifiers, bass amplifiers, and PA (public address) equipment. Other Fender brands include Guild (acoustic and electric guitars), Rodriguez (classical guitars), Benedetto (jazz guitars), SWR (bass amplification), Tacoma, and Squier (entry level/budget).

Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Review:

Features : 10 2006 made, Cherry Burst, maple fret/neck. American made, S-1 Solid top, 3-way switch, S/S, Fender Deluxe Tele. Noiseless pickups, Alder body, white moto pickguard, Schaller tuners, C-neck. HC included
Sound : 10 I never stop being amazed at the sound this guitar puts out through various amps and venues it gets played in. I've used a Deluxe Reverb, Epi Firefly 30, Vox Valvetronix, Marshall 15 watt, Line 6 Spider, Ibanez, and Peavy. Nothing disappoints me. The smooth easy action and full rich sound at the neck pickup to the beautiful twang in the bridge pickup to the full body blend in the center switch position is truly beautiful. The S-1 switching I'm still debating on, not sure it is all that they claim it to be, but could be me. I'm still dinking with it.
Action, Fit, & Finish : 10 I had the action adjusted to my liking, but was fine out of the box. Action is smooth all the way from nut to body. No flaws in this guitar, perfect on delivery. THe quality of workmanship on my axe was splendid. I play with 10's.
Reliability/Durability : 10 I replaced the strap buttons with Schaller strap locks. I never wanted to have this beauty drop on the floor like another I had. I baby my guitars. When I walk into my music room and see them, each one is like a child, and they bring a BIG SMILE of join to me. So I look for better guitars from the start. Never been disappointed.
Overall Rating : 10 I've been playing a short time in comparison to most. I'm a hobbyist, I plan at my church worship services, from Christian rock, pop and traditional This guitar just blends so nicely. I have a Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster, Taylor T5-C1, and a Ernie Ball Steve Morse SM-Y2D signature. I love each one. But this Tele I always seem to go to first. I would DEFINITELY get another if stolen, even if my home insurance didn't cover it. Wouldn't be without this guitar in the stable. Don't have a hate for this guitar, just pure love and joy of being a happy proud owner. Sorry for the mush, but a guitarist who loves his equipment knows what I'm talking about.

Fender American Classic Stratocaster Review:

Features : 9 USA Custom shop made, 22 frets, Alder body, Usual Strat controls and pickup config (with ball tearing Texas Specials). Got a kick ass Birdseye maple neck with a pretty silky finish to it, normal Schaller style tuners with an American Standard Bridge (gross). The neck has the usual 25.5" scale with about a 9.5 degree radius to it, fells pretty farmiliar straight out of the hardcase (which is standard)
Sound : 9 This axe has the best clean single coil sound, perfect for like Jazzy/bluesy shit, it distorts pretty well for that type of music, but if its a heavy sound your after, get yourself a Les Paul.
Action, Fit, & Finish : 6 The action on mine was pretty high, I really hated the way Fender set up the bridge ( the bridge was set at an angle so that the strings can be pulled down as well as up, Ill buy a Floyd Rose if I want that)but thei was fixed by introducing 2 more springs to the existing 3. The pickups were set as per factory suggestions (with the bridge pickup closer to the strings than the rest)and fit really well.
Reliability/Durability : 10 This Axe is built to take hell, its pretty heavy and the nickle plated hardware have lasted the whole 3 years ive owned it with regular playing and no signs of corrosion anywhere. It includes straplocks from the factory (The slotted, non-permanent types) and the lacquer finist could withstand years of rubbing form a forearm.
Overall Rating : 9 Ive been playing for 8 years in so many different styles and this guitar has been able to keep up with most of them, I have it insured so if it is stolen, the only pain would be loosing it, the olny thing i hate about it is the bridge, the saddles seem to break too many strings (even after attacking them with a file and carbon)and look ugly, but ill keep it to retain its value, another great feature is the certificate of Authenticity that comes with it (Ive had mine laminated)
